Frauke loves the Lagrein Riserva Taber from South Tyrol, a lovely red wine from the South Tyrolean grape variety “Lagrein”. “With its fruity, smooth taste, for me it is the ideal companion for a romantic dinner for two”.
It perfectly goes with a veal steak with a creamy mushroom sauce and tagliatelle, with a home made pizza or pasta with a porcini sauce.
When it comes to Valentine’s Day there is only one choice for Christoph, a bottle of bubbly! Have a look for German Winzersekt, produced using the traditional method of bottle fermentation. Reichsrath von Buhl Reserve would be a perfect option.
Sekt perfectly goes with almost everything and has a bracing character.
Olli is more the beer guy in our Team, but when it comes to wine he is always looking for something local. Living in the Markgräflerland, Gutedel (Chasselas) is his favorite grape juice. There are a lot of small family estates producing really good different types. Just look for a local dealer.
Gutedel is a very light grape and therefore it’s perfect for light dishes like cheese, pasta or mushroom pasty.
